Murray Hamer was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2003 and practices in the Balgowlah and Southern Highlands offices.
Murray completed his legal studies through the Legal Practitioner’s Admissions Board. Whilst completing his studies, Murray worked for two large CBD law firms in insurance litigation, debt recovery, district court and local court matters.
Over the years Murray has been actively involved in his local communities through his participation in the activities of the local Chamber of Commerce, spending time on the committee of a local sporting association, coaching rugby and volunteering for the past 10 years at the Manly Neighbourhood Centre legal service. Murray’s hobbies include surfing, tennis and mountain biking.
Murray joined Hamer & Hamer Balgowlah in 2002 and has developed a practice in conveyancing and property law, family law, wills and estates, business and commercial matters, and debt recovery. His clients include individuals, small-medium business owners, commercial land owners and not for profit organisations. Murray strives to provide excellent service and advice to his clients and ensures that they are kept well informed of the progress of their matters through to completion.
Murray has recently completed his Masters of Applied Law in Family Law through the College of Law and is able to assist clients with most family law related issues and disputes. Murray understands that when he is consulted by clients with a family law issue it can often be a low point in their lives and he seeks to advise them in relation to their rights and reach resolution of their issue as quickly and cost effectively as possible and without the need for court proceedings. If court proceedings are unavoidable Murray is well equipped to represent the clients through the litigation process.
Murray is the legal practitioner director of the Balgowlah firm.
