Our story starts with Bruce the eldest brother in the family commencing legal practice in Marrickville in the mid 1960s as a sole practitioner. He was soon joined by the middle brother Brian and subsequently by Michael Hamer.

Our connection with Marrickville ceased in the mid 1970s when each of the Hamer brothers commenced legal practices separately in the locality where they each lived but continuing to practise under the name Hamer & Hamer. Each of the brothers has been active in their local school and community affairs and together with their spouses, have made a significant contribution to their local community.

The firm has grown recently with the second generation of Hamers joining the practice, namely Murray and Anthony. They bring a fresh enthusiasm to Hamer & Hamer and have each developed a new clientele.

What we are really proud of at Hamer & Hamer is the reputation for our service – not only its quality but the friendly way in which it is provided. The family connection is a characteristic that we promote because it gives our clients comfort and reassurance in the continuing attention that their affairs will receive over the years and into the next generation.

Today the five Hamers conduct busy practices that cater for the typical legal needs of the family and small business proprietors. We pride ourselves on the wide variety of work that we perform and the efficient and friendly manner in which it is completed.
